Raise money for BBC Children in Need and enjoy a night at one of London's biggest musicals, at BBC London 94.9FM's special gala performance of the smash-hit award-winning musical JERSEY BOYS at the Prince Edward Theatre in the West End on Wednesday 17th November 2010.

BBC London's 94.9FM presenters Gaby Roslin, Paul Ross, Vanessa Feltz and Danny Baker are all delighted to be introducing this special gala performance. All money raised will go towards helping disadvantaged children and young people right here in the UK.

JERSEY BOYS is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons - Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Nick Massi and Tommy DeVito. The internationally acclaimed hit musical tells the remarkable rise to stardom of one of the most successful bands in pop history and how four New Jersey boys from the wrong side of the tracks invented their own unique sound, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and sold 100 million records worldwide all before they were thirty. JERSEY BOYS includes the hits 'Beggin' 'Sherry', 'Walk Like A Man', 'December, 1963 (Oh What a Night)', 'Big Girls Don't Cry', 'My Eyes Adored You', 'Let's Hang On (To What We've Got)', 'Bye Bye Baby', 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You', 'Working My Way Back to You', 'Fallen Angel', 'Rag Doll' and 'Who Loves You'.

They are joined by Simon Adkins as 'Bob Crewe', Jade Westaby as 'Mary Delgado', Mark Carroll as 'Donnie/Knuckles', Jye Frasca as 'Joe Pesci', Charlie Bull as 'Lorraine', Michelle Francis as 'Francine', Tee Jaye as 'Barry', Stuart Milligan as 'Gyp Decarlo', Joseph Prouse as 'Norm Waxman' and James Winter as 'Hank'. JERSEY BOYS has won forty two major international awards since first opening on Broadway in 2006. In a groundbreaking deal, Graham King's GK Films has acquired feature film rights to the smash hit musical. King and Tim Headington will produce the film to be written by stage play scribes Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio will executive produce the film.

To celebrate the launch of JERSEY BOYS on Tuesday 18 March we have some TV specials lined up that you won't want to miss, so make sure your diary is up to date with the following dates.

Jane Witherspoon from BBC London News on BBC 1 will be talking to Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio and Marshall Brickman on Tuesday 18 March between 6.30 and 7pm.

London Tonight's Lucy Cotter will be interviewing Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio on Tuesday 18th March. Frankie Valli will then be Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley's guest on The One Show on Wednesday 19 March.

Ryan Molloy, Stephen Ashfield, Philip Bulcock and Glenn Carter, who play The Four Seasons in JERSEY BOYS, will be performing a medley of songs including Sherry, Walk Like A Man and Bye Bye Baby on GMTV on Thursday 20 March.

On Friday 21 March, Frankie Valli will be making a guest appearance on Loose Women, and Ryan Molloy, Stephen Ashfield, Philip Bulcock and Glenn Carter, who play The Four Seasons in JERSEY BOYS, will be performing a medley of songs from the show. Ryan Molloy, as Frankie Valli, will also sing the track of Can't Take My Eyes Off You and the four actors will perform Walk Like A Man.

To celebrate the launch of JERSEY BOYS on Tuesday 18 March we have some fantastic radio interviews lined up for you, that you won't want to miss.

The Today Programme on Radio 4 will be interviewing both Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio on Tuesday 18 March. On the same day Graham Dene will be interviewing Ryan Molloy, Stephen Ashfield, Philip Bulcock and Glenn Carter, who play The Four Seasons in JERSEY BOYS, for his Breakfast Show on Smooth Radio.

Simon Mayo will then be interviewing Frankie Valli for his BBC Radio 5 Live afternoon show on Wednesday 19 March at 3.00pm.

On Easter Monday, 24 March, Graham Dene's breakfast show on Smooth Radio will be featuring a JERSEY BOYS special. Graham will be interviewing Bob Gaudio together with Ryan Molloy, Stephen Ashfield, Philip Bulcock and Glenn Carter, who play The Four Seasons in JERSEY BOYS, for his Breakfast Show on Smooth Radio.

Bob Gaudio will be appearing as Ken Bruce's guest on his Radio 2 show throughout the week commencing 31 March, appearing in the feature 'Tracks of our Years'.

The leading cast members of JERSEY BOYS, set to open at the Prince Edward Theatre next February, were announced to the press and the theatre industry at an elaborate reception held at the legendary Jazz Club, Ronnie Scott's on Wednesday 17 October. JERSEY BOYS is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons - Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi - and how this group of boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest international pop music sensations of all time. The UK cast will be headed by Ryan Molloy (Jerry Springer, Tonight's the Night, On the Town & Godspell) as Frankie Valli, Stephen Ashfield (Taboo, The Marriage of Figaro) as Bob Gaudio, Glenn Carter (Jesus Christ Superstar, Chess, Les Miserables, Grease) as Tommy DeVito and Phillip Bulcock (Grease) as Nick Massi.

      

Original Four Seasons members, Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio flew into Britain to attend the launch and meet the UK cast of this Tony Award winning musical. While answering questions about the show from Magic FM radio presenter Neil Fox who hosted the event, Valli said "The story was told with as much truth as possible. I think that has something to do with the success of it. We were young kids who did get in trouble."  When their careers took off, he remembered, "We kept our pasts secret, kind of swept under the rug. When we decided to do this, we talked about it a long time. We tried not to hurt anybody, but as far as our own lives were concerned, we were pretty upfront." The show features Four Seasons' hits such as Big Girls Don't Cry, Walk Like a Man, Oh What a Night, Can't Take My Eyes Off You and Sherry.

JERSEY BOYS opened in New York in 2005 and remains one of the top grossing shows on Broadway. It will begin performances at the Prince Edward Theatre on 28 February 2008.

Their songs include 'Sherry', 'Walk Like A Man', 'December, 1963 (Oh What a Night)', 'Big Girls Don't Cry', 'My Eyes Adored You', 'Let's Hang On', 'Bye Bye Baby (Baby Goodbye)', 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You', 'Working My Way Back to You', 'Fallen Angel', 'Rag Doll' and 'Who Loves You'.

"JERSEY BOYS" is written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe. "JERSEY BOYS" opened in New York in November 2005 and became an immediate sell-out. "JERSEY BOYS" is the winner of the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album
